Breckenridge Insurance Group offers business and financial professionals smart solutions to protect and grow their organization. The group is made up of five different companies, all providing different expertise in the insurance and financial services arena. From specialized commercial insurance to underwriting and risk management, Breckenridge is an expert in their space, and they were looking for a fellow expert to help streamline and level-up their existing IT department. That’s where New Signature expertise comes in.

Challenge

When Chris Mitchell, Breckenridge Insurance CTO, was brought on board in 2015, his first step toward success for the nationwide underwriting company was to transform the in-house IT department by migrating to Microsoft Azure and delivering an Office 365 environment so they could enable their in-house IT to focus on more strategic business decisions and less on everyday user pain points, such as email troubleshooting.

Breckenridge IT faced a number of obstacles. First, they faced the complexity of five separate companies all functioning separately, but also unified under the same group name. With distance between all the offices, Breckenridge sought out the ability to migrate mailboxes to the Cloud, helping them to maintain connectivity between employees with ease and reliability.

Due to the disparate locations and the amount of time that in-house IT members were spending on email issues, Mitchell knew that a complete transformation was needed, and also knew that New Signature, having worked with them on past projects, could guide Breckenridge with expertise to a more efficient environment and deliver needed change for their employee users. He had full faith that by allowing New Signature experts to manage the migration to Office 365 and optimizing their environment, Breckenridge could refocus their own IT expertise to drive more innovative business strategies.

I knew that in order to focus our in-house IT department on business strategy, we needed the expertise of New Signature to come in and help us migrate our email to a cloud environment. Eighteen months later, we have never looked back, have never had an issue with their service, and are happy with the peace of mind and ease of work we have gained.
