The best way to get the most use and, therefore, the most value from your Office 365 investment is to educate your users. When you are utilizing all the newest and best features of Office 365 and keeping your environment updated, you’re able to work smarter, not harder.
It can be overwhelming to keep up with all the new features that are being rolled out, but New Signature is here to help highlight those, while providing additional tips, tricks and education.
Here are just a few of the most-recent additions from the developers at Microsoft:
Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection
“Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection Plan 2 includes a variety of security features. However, one of particular note is the Phishing Attack Simulator, where administrators can execute Phishing Attacks and then collect information on how many users fell victim to the Phishing Assault. Attack simulations currently available are:
Display name spear-phishing attack
Password-spray attack
Brute-force password attack.
Once you complete your simulated Phishing Attack trials, you can determine your learning matrix and your best course of action to educate your users. This would allow the entire organization to be tested and identify weaknesses for user-fortification through awareness and training.” – Marcos Cajas, Assistant Team Lead, Advanced Operations
Outlook Meeting Rooms Updates
Outlook meeting rooms benefit from additional settings and filters when used in Outlook on the Web. Administrators can now add more detailed information into meeting rooms, that can then be used to filter meeting room search requests for more accurate requirements. Filters include settings such as:
- Is Wheelchair accessible
- Floor Number
- Audio Device Name
These can be configured by an administrator to support users booking meeting rooms with more accurate needs, than just simple room availability.
Make Iconography Easy
Now you can search and easily insert icons into your files within Microsoft Office. You can place, rotate, color and resize them without losing any image quality. No royalties, no copyrights; just high-quality icon images from an easily searchable archive. Watch the video tutorial here for specific instructions.
New Comments and Notes in Excel
Do you know the difference between comments and notes in Excel? Comments are now threaded and allow you to have discussions with other people about the data. Notes are for making notes or annotations about the data, and work like comments used to work in earlier versions of Excel. Now, you can leave yourself comments which creates a colored corner tab in a cell. Hovering on that cell pops the comment out for easy viewing without changing any cell formatting.
