Azure’s connectivity to Power BI can elevate your ability to make quick and informed business decisions based on data, make predictions with stream analytics, as well as enable you to look back and analyze your company’s long-term trends. As we look back on the past month, there are dozens of new updates to Azure, but there was a strong trend geared toward analytics and updates that will allow you to use Azure to dive deep into your business data and guide your decisions around those findings. Integration of Stream Analytics with Azure Monitor The new preview for a connection between Stream Analytics and Azure Monitor will help to elevate business self-service for troubleshooting, allowing users to quickly and simply locate malformed or lost data and remediate the issue with less downtime. The integration also allows for recording of incident data, such as occurrence time and counts. Power BI Updates Newly implemented this month, Stream Analytics now has the capability to output to the Power BI streaming datasets. This will allow users to take advantage of the rich and visual Power BI dashboard with lower latency for any solution that is built using Stream Analytics. Along with this new functionality comes a host of other Power BI updates including new mobile supports, new free embed token that allow you to start building and testing your solutions without paying for licenses right away, and new data extraction that allows for easier exporting of the complex and visual data. Stream Analytics Geographic Expansion Another important addition to the new Stream Analytics updates is that as of April 12, Azure Stream Analytics is now available in three additional regions: US West, Canada Central and Canada East. This makes twenty-six total regions for Stream Analytics access. You can access Stream Analytics pricing information by region to determine your potential investment. Anomaly Detection in Stream Analytics New Signature helped The Hershey Company connect their production equipment to predict error and help to eradicate it in real-time. Now, you can use the new Anomaly Detection on Stream Analytics to easily detect observations that do not align with your goals or expectations and correct hem.
