Since New Signature and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) began partnering together to save lives, they have continued to enrich that relationship through measures that help support the BHF goal of researching, treating and preventing heart disease.
In New Signatures ongoing support towards the British Heart foundation, our organization is working as a team to raise funds and support their mission. New Signature will be sponsoring and in attendance at the 2019 Beating Hearts Ball, BHF’s annual flagship fundraising gala, on February 27. In addition, a group from New Signature will take part in BHF’s Ride Out of Town, an annual fundraising bike ride. A New Signature team will be riding from London to Reading on March 23rd as part of a team effort to improve healthy living and staying active, all great ways of preventing heart disease.

The British Heart Foundation is the largest funder of cardiovascular research in UK, working to beat the world’s biggest killers. They fund over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular Dementia. Diabetes. They’re all connected, and they’re all under BHF’s microscope.
New Signature, the NHS and the British Heart Foundation have worked together to begin developing a technology that will map all of the public defibrillators, creating an easy-to-use tool to locate one during an emergency. This much-needed technology will help to improve the previous research, which found that even with over 100,000 defibrillators in the UK, only 3% of patients who have cardiac arrests in public will be treated with public-access defibrillators. This significantly reduces the survival rate of cardiac arrest victims, and with over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in the UK, this new partnership aims to close the gap and save more lives.
