2014 has been a great year for imason – lots of innovation in the work we do, many new members of our team, great new customers and partnerships and a deepening of our relationships with our existing customers and partners. But, it’s not all about us. With all these good things happening for us as a business, the imason team likes to turn our focus to community during the giving holiday season. During December, we step up the volume on our fundraising activities to support the causes we all care about here in Canada and abroad. Over the years we have supported families in need, food banks, international health care organizations, community outreach initiatives and research organizations whose important work will find cures to diseases like cancer, AIDS, MS and others. This year our major fund raising activities included a lively games night, delicious pot luck lunch and an online ‘not so silent’ auction. We even raised money to convince one of our colleagues to cut his hair! Even better – not only do we get to count the generous contributions of our team members for these events but imason matches the funds we raise, dollar for dollar. It is a great company program. AND there’s more – we don’t just contribute financially, we are donating warm coats, mitts, socks and hats to the Out of the Cold initiative this winter and all year long our team contributes generously by volunteering their time at schools and with community groups. For 2014, we are contributing to: The Terry Fox Foundation to support the amazing work happening in Cancer Research, The Daily Bread Food Bank to support the needs of our local community, Eva’s Initiative to support homeless youth with shelter and employment initiatives and Bopoma Villages providing water and biotech farming in Zimbabwe. I am so proud to work with such generous and talented folks and I can’t wait to see what happens next in 2015. Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year to everyone.
