    Oceana – Adopt Marine Wildlife

  • New Signature worked with Oceana to design, build and launch the updated Adopt-A-Creature section of their website.  Using the website you can adopt a creature (such as a shark, dolphin, sea turtle, octopus, or penguin) for yourself or for a loved one.  Your donation will help Oceana’s work to protect these creatures and their habitats.  As part of your adoption, you receive a personalized adoption certificate lists the name of the adoptive parent and displays the common and Latin name of the adopted creature.

    New Signature worked with Oceana to create the visual design for the Adopt-A-Creature section.  We then built the solution using Ubercart–an open source e-commerce shopping cart that fully integrates with Drupal.  To reduce the workload on Oceana’s staff New Signature integrated Ubercart with ActionKit (a flexible, reliable software for online advocacy) and automated transmission of order information to fulfillment.

    After launch Oceana saw a 30% increase in holiday orders, and the streamlined workflow saved more than 100 staff hours over the holiday season.

  • New Signature has been a great technology partner for Oceana. The project that they helped us with was both fairly involved and required a really tight turnaround. They worked quickly to help us find a good solution to relaunch our online store in time for our holiday fundraising season. They recommended a solution that would integrate into our existing content management tool, hooked into our new eCRM tool and set up reporting that integrated into our fulfillment center's processing system. This saved us over one hundred staff hours over the holiday season and streamlined our online ordering process. All in all, they were very professional, proactively helped us navigate some potential headaches and provided amazing support post-launch to make sure that everything was running smoothly through our key fundraising season. They were a pleasure to work with.
